Channel Onboarding Guide

This guide walks you through what to expect as a new channel partner, from account setup through receiving your first title deliveries.

Step 1: Your Account Starts in Hidden Status

When your channel account is first created, it will be in Hidden status. This is normal. It means your account is being configured and is not yet set up to receive deliveries.

While in Hidden status, we encourage you to browse the Filmhub catalog. You should not begin licensing titles until your account is moved to active as deliveries and the accompanying delivery window will not start until an Active account status.

Your Filmhub account manager will move your account to Active once your delivery setup is complete and everything is configured on our end.


Step 2: Set Up File Transfer Before You Go Live

Before deliveries can begin, Filmhub needs to know where to send your files. This is configured in your account settings.

See the Setting Up File Transfer article for instructions on connecting your S3 bucket or SFTP endpoint.

If you are unsure which delivery method is right for you, reach out to your account manager.


Step 3: Start Licensing Titles

Once your account is Active, you're ready to go. When you click License on a title, delivery is triggered automatically based on your account settings.

Expect titles to arrive within 3 to 5 business days of licensing. See Title Discovery and Licensing for a full walkthrough of the catalog and licensing tools.


A Note on Account Statuses

Your channel account will be in one of three states at any given time:

Status What it means
Hidden New or not yet onboarded. You can license titles but deliveries will not flow.
Active Fully onboarded. Licensing triggers delivery normally.
On Hold Account paused, usually due to a payment or reporting issue. Licensing is disabled and deliveries are paused.

If your account is placed On Hold, you will be notified by your account manager.
