How To: Manage Your Avails (Available Rights)
How to set up and manage your available rights if there are any restrictions of which we need to be aware.
In this guide:
What are Avails?
Avails (short for available rights) are the rights and territories you're granting for Filmhub to license a title, and for how long.
You're always in full control here. The Avails you set tell us exactly how to license your title, so the more complete and accurate they are, the better we can match you with the right channels.
The more Avails you open up, the more places your title can be watched, and the more revenue it can generate
One thing to remember: If your rights ever change after you submit a title (for example, you deliver the title somewhere outside of Filmhub), reach out to us through the Support Form with the update so we can keep everything current.
Manage your available rights
Here's how to open up (or limit) your title's rights, country by country.
- Choose your license types. Click the dropdown next to "Worldwide" and uncheck any license types you can't offer: Ad-Supported, Subscription, or Transactional. You can also add a start and/or end date if your rights kick in or expire on a specific date. Tip: If all your rights are available, selecting all three license types gets you the most viewership and revenue.

- Choose your countries. Countries are listed by name. Check or uncheck continents or individual countries to include or exclude them. Tip: If your title is available everywhere, select "Worldwide" to maximize reach.

- Block specific channels (Plus and Pro only). Our goal is to get your title in front of as many channels as possible. If you're part of the Plus or Pro community and need to block a channel, reach out to support or your dedicated acquisitions executive.

- Save your progress. Once your Avails are set, click Save Progress at the bottom of the screen. Important: don't skip this step. If you don't save, you could lose the information you just entered.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to open up every license type to get accepted? No. You choose which license types and countries apply. Just know that broader Avails (more license types, more countries) generally allow more viewership and revenue opportunities.
What happens if I don't set my Avails? The default Avails for every title include all license types and Worldwide availability. All required information, including Avails, needs to be complete before submitting the title.
Can I change my Avails after I submit? Yes. Email, please contact us via the Support Form with your updates.
Is the start date I set a guaranteed release date? No. A start date just means your title becomes available after that date, it doesn't guarantee a specific release date across every channel.
How do I exclude just one country instead of a whole region? Select "Everywhere except these countries," then add only that country. Or, if you started with a region excluded (like Asia Pacific), you can remove individual countries from that exclusion list, like keeping Australia included.
What if my rights differ across countries and license types? Click "Add Avails" to layer on additional rules. For example, you can set worldwide rights for all license types, then click "Add Avails" again to carve out a different rule for just one country.
Can I block specific channels from acquiring my title? This is available to Plus or Pro community members through support or their dedicated Acquisitions Executive. If you're not yet a member, you can upgrade to unlock this feature.
