At Filmhub, assets are stored in Amazon S3 buckets. There are many ways for Filmhub to ingest your catalog onto our servers.
If you use a transfer service like Aspera or Signiant Media Shuttle, you can simply set up an access point for your tech contact to begin the transfer.
Otherwise, we can set up an access point in a Filmhub S3 bucket for you to transfer files via FTP. We recommend using Cyberduck, which is reliable and works on most systems.
File structure and naming convention guidelines
We’ll take whatever files there are in whatever disposition you have them. These guidelines will help make the import process smooth and painless.
Each unique title should have its own folder on the root directory of your delivery, each containing all assets related to the title. There should be no assets outside of these folders.
Where possible, use the internal IDs you provided in the metadata in your files’ naming conventions.
Only use standard alphanumeric characters; avoid using accented characters, spaces and punctuation other than “-” or “_”.
Files of the same type (video, text, artwork) should have brief descriptors of the asset’s nature in addition to its id and name:
Video files should be labeled “main,” “trailer,” etc. Language, frame size, and codec/compression info are also common data points to include in the file name.
Caption files should be labeled with a language code and time text type, like “forced,” “closed captions,” or “subtitles”
Artwork files should be labeled with their aspect ratio. See this article for required art sizes.

The Access Key ID and Secret Access Key will be shared privately on a time-limited basis.
Under More Options, set the Path to the directory where you’ve been given access (shared separately).
Save the bookmark, and then upload a small test file. After notifying your tech contact, we’ll confirm receipt and begin the full delivery.
