Asset Adjustment Service
How Filmhub helps prepare your title for our channel partners
Included with: Basic, Premium, Premium Plus
Every channel, including Amazon Prime Video, Tubi, Pluto TV, and YouTube Movies & TV, sets its own technical requirements for the titles it accepts. Tracking every channel's current specifications isn't something a producer should have to do alone. Asset Adjustment Service is how Filmhub applies that knowledge to your title during Premium QC, adjusting your assets to meet current channel requirements at no additional cost.
Why does this exist?
Channels set different technical requirements from one partner to the next, and those requirements can change over time. Rather than expecting you to track every channel's current specifications yourself, our team applies its up-to-date knowledge of those requirements when your title goes through Premium QC.
How it works
- Our team knows the technical requirements of our channel partners, and we run QC checks based on that knowledge.
- If there's a gap, our team adjusts your assets to meet those requirements directly, at no additional cost to you.
Issues we're typically able to resolve, including:
- Fixing an unsupported or mislabeled audio channel layout
- Correcting distorted video caused by an incorrect pixel aspect ratio
- Removing letterbox or pillarbox bars
- Normalizing audio that's too quiet
- Removing a border or padding from artwork, when the rest of the image gives us enough to work with
- Correcting Cast & Crew information
- Adding a required rating, or fixing a broken IMDb link
- Fixing caption sync issues or timecode offsets
Issues we're typically unable to resolve, including:
- Issues with your original source video or audio
- Upscaled video that appears soft or blown-up
- Watermarks, burned-in text, or burned-in subtitles baked into the video
- Missing music cue sheets or clearances
- Non-English captions or subtitles (we can add English SDH, but can't create a translated non-English track)
- Artwork or video where the source material isn't enough to work with
- Chapter markers that don't meet channel requirements (these are removed prior to QC Pass rather than fixed)
Some resolvable issues are more involved than others and are evaluated case by case rather than resolved automatically, including:
- Normalizing audio that's too loud
- Correcting low bitrate (overcompressed) video
- Recovering dropped frames or fixing cadence issues
- Reconfiguring or merging episodes, seasons, or shows into the correct format
Either way, we'll tell you exactly what we found and what it would take to resolve it.
